RMA was engaged to undertake the civil, structural and geotechnical engineering for this $18 million award-winning development in Charlton. This included a 1,032 square meter retail space, 12 car refuelling bays, 5 truck refuelling bays, and parking and a weighbridge that were suitable for road trains.

RMA was involved in the early stages of the development to provide civil and geotechnical engineering for the subdivision and early earthworks. Our team noted there were top layers of black soil with a stable rocky loam below the surface. We then used the onsite material to create an engineered filled platform to minimise costs. RMA’s structural team was able to incorporate tilt panel walls with the steel framing to create an efficient structure.
