“If its flooded, forget it” doesn’t always apply to development opportunities!

RMA are very pleased that we were able to help Da Finchi Developments achieve approval for a light industrial development on a challenging site on the corner of Newman Road and Zillmere Road, Geebung.

The site was substantially flood impacted and in a flood sensitive area.
Using detailed 2D hydraulic modelling, RMA worked with the Brisbane City Council assessment team to develop a design which achieved a workable development footprint whilst minimising flood impacts and complying with the general intent of Council’s Overlay codes.

Close coordination between the RMA Civil, Traffic & Transport and Surface Water teams resulted in a solution which balanced the conflicting requirements of yield, site fill, flood storage, and hydraulic conveyance.
