Ambrose Treacy College - Indooroopilly

RMA worked alongside Fulton Trotter Architects to deliver three new buildings for Ambrose Treacy College as part of their Senior School Masterplan. The buildings took design inspiration from the surrounding fora and scenery of the Brisbane River, including a curved building that wrapped and weaved through the eucalyptus and rain trees.

RMA delivered both the civil and structural engineering for these three new multi-use learning spaces, with the development covering almost 3000m2. Our structural team incorporated a grid system for the buildings to achieve the architect’s desired aesthetic, whilst maintaining a simple and efficient structure to keep design and construction costs down.

RMA’s civil team undertook the detailed design and construction management of the external infrastructure upgrade of the surrounding site, including roads, sewer and stormwater.

That site contained historic and non-standard existing services that would have been too costly to redirect. Our team provided numerous performance-based solutions that satisfied the Queensland Urban Utilities and Brisbane City Council design requirements whilst remaining cost-effective for the client.
