Fraser Coast Isuzu Trucks is a state-of-the-art dealership and customer service centre located in the Queensland town of Bundaberg. The new facility is a part of the national dealership network and provides an increased service offering for the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay regions.
RMA were engaged as Design Manager to deliver the engineering for the new showroom and service workshops. Our role involved managing all project approvals, including the amalgamation of two existing lots and all managing all QFES and safety requirements. We provided a comprehensive range of services including civil, traffic, structural, surface water and hydraulic engineering, as well as technical support during construction.
With extensive industrial development experience and knowledge on the local planning scheme, RMA demonstrated that the development qualified as an Accepted Development and a formal DA was not required. This streamlined the project as it became self-assessable, therefore removing timeframes associated with Council submission and reducing the amount of early documentation required.
As both the building designers and engineers, our teams were able to coordinate the design through a collaborative Revit model. This allowed our building designers, as well as our structural and hydraulic engineers to collaborate more efficiently, streamlining the design process.
