This master planned residential subdivision situated in Toowoomba’s south is set to deliver 350 residential lots across eight stages. The Kearney West Estate continues RMA Engineers’ long-standing relationship with Clive Berghofer Land Sales, Toowoomba’s largest land development company.
After the successful delivery of Kearney East Estate, RMA were engaged as the lead consultant to deliver this greenfield community. RMA Engineers guided the project from development approval through to construction delivery.
RMA’s Surface Water and Civil teams delivered a master planned stormwater management strategy, which not only catered to the needs of the estate, but also provided a regional solution that benefits adjacent properties. Crafted in close collaboration with the developer and Toowoomba Regional Council, this strategic approach produced infrastructure outcomes that aligned with broader planning objectives and supported future land development in area.
RMA also successfully negotiated a Trunk Infrastructure Agreement with Toowoomba Regional Council. This agreement supports the delivery of approximately $2.3 million of essential infrastructure works including trunk stormwater drainage, roadworks, sewerage infrastructure and the stormwater detention basin.
Our multi-disciplinary team delivered detailed design for the entire site. The design included roadworks, stormwater drainage, sewer and water reticulation as well as bulk earthworks, the stormwater detention basin and sewer pump station. These services were integrated with stormwater master planning to enhance the development layout, increase lot yield, and optimise infrastructure efficiency.
