We were very excited to be involved in such an iconic project for the Roma community. With a viewing tower and tree-top walk, the Bigger Big Rig will be a major tourist attraction for Roma and wider Maranoa region.

RMA’s structural team, led by Dan Turner and Glen Rowen, worked with the builder during the tender process to undertake design optimisation of the incumbent engineer’s design. This included alternative design for the steel structure to reduce overall tonnage, and improved efficiency of the footing system.

RMA invest time to explore design alternatives that can deliver reduced construction and project costs, increasing the viability of projects.
