It was excellent to see RMA Principal Engineer Tony Loveday speaking at the recent IPWEAQ 2020 State Conference.

Tony’s urban stormwater presentation, “No worsening is not a thing”, explained why the requirement of “no worsening”, commonly adopted in development assessment, is a misinterpretation of both QUDM and applicable law.

He illustrated a number of different projects where lawful discharge was achieved by correctly applying a “no nuisance”, rather than “no worsening”, approach.
